What is Microsoft's AI tool 'Copilot'ppst

Microsoft recently announced its artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital assistant named 'Copilot'. According to Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, the AI software has the potential to "Revolutionize how people operate fundamentally and unleash a new wave of productivity increase."

The CEO said, “With our new copilot, we give people greater control over technology and increase accessibility using the most pervasive interface possible: natural language."

As per the tech giant, the main work of main aim of the AI tool is to integrates data from a user's Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 apps with large language models (LLMs). With this, the AI tool can prove to be the most potent tool for productivity.

Several frequently used Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, are now integrated with Copilot. With this tool, one can decide what to keep, amend, or dismiss.

The main three functions of the co-pilot are to free up creativity, free up productivity, and sharpen user skills.

The company said that it is currently testing Microsoft 365 Copilot with 20 customers, including eight in Fortune 500 enterprises. It noted that the company will be expanding these previews to customers more broadly in the coming months.

Microsoft explained that Microsoft 365 Copilot combines "the power of large language models (LLMs)" with users' data in the Microsoft Graph, which includes calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings, and more to provide a comprehensive output.

Microsoft announced that Copilot is integrated into Microsoft 365. The first one is its integration with Microsoft 365.When using it in word, you can quickly write, edit, summarise, and create a draft after giving a brief input.The draft then can be modified and edited by entering more focussed inputs from the user.
